Privacy Please...

We are going private. I know that this is one of the most debated topics when it comes to blogging, but due to some recent things that I have seen and thought about, I decided it's best for us to close the doors to uninvited guests.

Blogging is a part of my life that I really enjoy. It gives me a chance to get a break and check in on my loved ones and friends. I have gotten to know so many of you much better through you blogs. I love to see pictures of your kids, and read about what is going on in your lives. I also love to write about, and share pictures of my sweet Addison with all of you. Blogging helps me to realize my blessings as I think about all of the good things that are going on around me, and all of the wonderful people that fill my life.

I want blogging to continue to be a good thing. I would hate for something I love to turn into something that would harm me or my family. I don't want personal information about us to get into the wrong hands. As much as we all try to deny it, there are creeps in the world, just waiting to prey on the innocent, and nothing is more innocent than my sweet Addison! I don't want to compromise that in any way.

Protecting my family is my number one priority, but I don't want to be forgotten about just because we are private. I know that signing in is a pain, but you have to do it to leave a comment anyway, so PLEASE, PLEASE continue to blog stalk us, just help me to know that YOU are doing it, and not some stranger! Please leave your email address in the comments so that I can send you an invitation. Thanks for helping to give me peace of mind, and for continuing to support us!!

Thanksgiving #2

I love Thanksgiving! To me, there is nothing better than a day celebrating gratitude, family togetherness, food, and napping!! I am so glad that my family is close (except for Alyssa and her cute family..we miss you!!) and that we get to spend this great holiday together.

This year we are fortunate enough to celebrate Thanksgiving three different times. Yesterday, we went to the Gines house. It was great to have the WHOLE family there. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so I don't have any photos of the fun night. Thanks for the food and fun, Jo!

Today we spent the day with my Dad and Marty, and on Saturday we will be spending the day with my Mom.

Here are some pictures of the fun day at my Dad's house today.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's a Thanksgiving Miracle! I was uploading my Thanksgiving pictures from today, and to my surprise, the San Diego pictures that I thought I had lost, magically appreared. Sunny Beach, Wicked, Happiest Place on Earth...ALL GONE with the Car Keys!

I was gearing up for a good post on our recent trip to San Diego, and discovered to my horror, that while I thought I was importing and modifying the pictures that we took, some how they were all deleted. ALL of them. They are gone from my desktop, gone from my memory card, ALL OF THEM ARE GONE. Now I'm not really in the mood to post. And, if you don't want to read a post with no pictures, don't bother...BOO!

We had a fun trip. It was full of adventures, a bout of the flu, a horrible traffic jam, and lots of fun times with the fam.

We flew Jet Blue. We got airfare for $35 each way..and spoiled ourselves. Jet Blue is the only way to fly...extra leg room, a private TV in the seat in front of you with 32 Direct TV channels, unlimited treats, and the WHOLE can of soda! Addison did well on the flight. She got a little fussy in the end, which made me really glad we decided to fly!

We had an awesome time at the beach. Addison loved the ocean and the sound of the waves. I had a few really cute pictures of her to put in here..SIGH! Travis loved body surfing with Adam and Jeremy.

They loved the beach so much that they went back the next day. Trav was so excited to surf again that he ran into the ocean with the rental car keys in his pocket. The ocean swallowed them up. They had to wait for a tow truck and a new rental car. Meanwhile, I was at home with a sick little Addison. She had her flu shot a few days before we left, and unfortunately was feeling the effects. She was sick Friday night, and most of Saturday.

After the excitement of losing the keys, the guys ran down to watch the Utes kill SDSU, and Jess, Jo and I headed up to L.A. in the worst traffic EVER to see Wicked. We almost missed it, but made it by the skin of our teeth, and had an awesome time! The show was so great!

The next day everyone went to Universal Studios. Travis and I decided to stay back with Addison because she still wasn't feeling well, and we really didn't want to go. So, we went to see 007. Addison wasn't happy so I spent most of the movie in the lobby, but Trav enjoyed it. When we got back from our afternoon away, I started feeling sick, and got home just in time to loose my lunch. I spent the rest of the day in bed sharing Addison's flu.

The next day was Disneyland. I was still sick, but didn't want to miss the fun, and had already bought tickets, so I decided to go. When you have the flu..Disneyland isn't really the happiest place on earth. I survived 3 rides, and decided that was the best I could do. Sweet Trav took me back to the hotel, and the three of us napped. I asked Trav later if he was sad that he missed out on the fun, and he said that he was glad he got to take a nap with Addison in his arms. He said it is something that he loves, and something that he won't get to do for very much longer. I think that was the highlight of my day!

The next day we flew home. It was a great trip. This was a lousy post. I'm sad I don't have my pictures. There were some cute ones. If you have read this far, you're a good friend! If you were on this trip with me..please email me pictures.

Seven Months!!

Addison is seven months old today. For seven months now, the fourth of every month has been terrible weather. It was even raining and yucky on Addison's birthday. Today was no exception! I don't mind the bad weather on her monthly birthday, because we usually stay in when it's gross outside. It was fun to spend the day with her today..even though she was a bit grumpy with teething pains.
I can't believe how quickly time is passing. Addison is wearing 9 month clothes. Some of her 6 month stuff still fits but, overall, she's in 9 because she is so tall. She loves to eat, and the only thing we have had any trouble with so far has been peas. She's a girl after my own heart! When I was little, I disliked peas so much, I shoved them up my nose rather than eating them.

Addison is so much fun! She's working on sitting up on her own..she's almost there. The other day, I left her on her back, and went into the other room to change the laundry. When I came back, she was sitting up. I know she can do it, but I have yet to see it happen. She is also working on crawling. She gets on her hands and knees and moves back and forth, but she usually ends up hitting her forehead on the floor, and gives up. She's getting so big so fast! Although I sometimes miss my little bitty baby..my big sweetie is more and more fun everyday!
