Back in Business...

My computer is working again, and all of the pictures were recovered...Whew! We found a guy who came and reconfigured our whole system. He wiped everything off of it, with the exception of the pictures, and installed Windows 7 for only $95. Travis forgot to have him reinstall of few programs (Like Word and Excel), so hopefully he can come back and install those too.

Addison has an obsession with naked bodies lately. Whenever she is naked, or only has a diaper on, she goes around saying, "I naked body, Mom." She thinks it is hilarious, and will say it straight for about 30 minutes, or until I wrangle her and put her clothes back on. When she is clothed, she lifts up her shirt and shows her belly to everyone. She hates socks, and shoes, and will pull them off as soon as I get her in the carseat to go somewhere..it's really a pain!

The day these pictures were taken, with the exception of her diaper, all she would let me put on her was her boots. She walked around like this for more than half the day, which included a surprise visit from my Visiting Teachers..I am sure they thought that I was the worst mom around..oh well!

Oh Toodles...

Yesterday Addison and I were coloring in her Mickey Mouse coloring book. She saw a door on the page and said, "Door open, Mom." I told her that we couldn't open the door, and so she lifted her head up high, put her hands on her hips and said, "Oh Toodles..."

If only there was a REAL Toodles that would come along whenever you asked for him, and would bring all the 'Mouseketools' you needed to fix any old problem there was. If only...

My computer has a "critical" virus on it; that won't allow us to open any programs. Hopefully, I will be able to recover all of our pictures from the last two years...wish me luck! In the meantime, please enjoy picture-free posts courtesy of my iPhone.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

I get to see this about two or three times a day..depending on how generous I am feeling! She would watch it non-stop if she could. Love this silly girl!!

Twenty-One

Addison turned twenty-one months old on the 4th. She is so big, and so darling! She keeps me on my toes every single minute, but I am thankful for the constant exercise! Addi is a chatterbox! She says so many things, there's no way to keep track! My favorites lately are: "Mmmmm, it's delicious!", "Mom, I see a pig.", "I don't think so...", "Mom, I need juice, please." Sentences are in full bloom, and it funny to hear her construct them! I say this every month, but it is so true...I just don't know how she got so big so fast!

Addison goes down the stairs like a big girl. It scares me, but she's perfecting it everyday. She still loves to put things in little groups, and the group in something else, like a box or a shoe. I have little piles of things all over my house.

Addi is absolutely OBSESSED with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! I have really limited her TV time, but seriously, if she doesn't watch at least 2 episodes of "Me Mouse", then we have a serious EPISODE of our own. She can name every single character, even the obscure ones like Pete and Professor Von Drake. My favorite is when she says Goofy, it comes out as "Goopy".

Bargaining with toddlers should be easy, but believe me..it's not. Addison has a mind of her own, and really knows what she wants. I love that she can tell me what she needs now, but sometimes it's a pain, especially at bedtime! We usually put her down for bed at 8 PM. Lately though, it's been a marathon just to get the girl to sleep. She asks for juice, when I say no, she asks for milk, when I say no, she asks for water, when I say no, she says she wants to lay in mom's bed, when I say no she asks to read a book...and so on. Finally, I just kiss her head and leave her screaming in her crib. She then climbs out, with a thud, and is headed down the stairs before I catch her, and make her go back up. It's not a fun stage!

I love Addison so much, and I'm so so lucky to be her mom, or "Mamo" as she sometimes calls me! I love you, big girl!!

Welcome Home, Elder Pitt!

On New Year's Day, my cousin, Joey came home from his mission in Brazil! It was the best way I have ever spent New Year's Day! Welcome Home, Joey! We love you and are proud of you!

My Mom made some really great signs...this was my favorite! Joey left in January of 2008. I was 6 months pregnant with Addison...now look at her! Wow, time has flown!

Cute swollen-faced Ethan

Joey and his parents

Joey and Cameron, his younger, now bigger brother!

Joey and Grandma

The complete Pitt family

My Mom also made these cute hats so Joey wouldn't freeze..Emmy and Cam had to have one too!

Joey, thanks for your awesome example! We are so glad you're home..we missed you!

Happy New Year!

For New Year's Eve, we had my family over for a fondue, homemade pizza feast! It was so much fun, and we all ate way too much food! We didn't make it until midnight, more like 9:30 PM, but it was still a good time! Once the party was over, Tim told Janelle that he wished he had a time machine to go back in, to tell himself not to eat so much! Ha!

Poor Ethan had a baby root canal that day, and a swollen face to show for it!

Janelle found out the hard way that the chocolate fondue at the bottom of the pot was HOT!

Yep, I was there too! Happy New Year...2010!

Old Friends!

A few days after Christmas, I got together with some of my girlfriends from high school. Lots of them live far away, and were here visiting their families. The kids outnumbered the adults, and it was crazy, but really good to see them!

For the record, this is the worst picture ever taken on my camera..it's so blurry, you can hardly make it out, thanks a lot self timer! Melissa, if you have a better one, please send it to me!

Just a few of the kids...they're so cute!
