We just got back from a fun get away in Island Park Idaho. We had a great time getting away from life for a few days. We got a great deal on KSL.com, and took off! We left Thursday night, 3/30, and drove to Rexburg, ID, and stayed in the SpringHill Suites, thanks, Kelli. It was an excellent plan because we drove while the girls slept. We woke up and had breakfast, and went swimming, then hit the road. Island Park was only a few hours from Rexburg. The drive was great! Once we got there, we found our place to stay. The cabin was darling, and the girls were excited!
Once we got there, we were hungry, so we headed back to The Lodge to eat. The food was delicious, and portion sizes were large...
A few days before we left, I worked on putting together some busy bags, to keep my kids occupied on the drive and while we were there. Pinterest was an awesome resource and I had fun coming up with and putting ideas together for my girls. One of the bags was full of magnets - letters and numbers, shapes and small cookie sheets for them to stick to. Travis and I were playing with our girls, and somehow our playing turned into a math quiz. You'll see me counting out the answer on my fingers, and Travis trying and succeeding to stump me. If you know me at all, it's no secret that I am no good at math. In the fifth grade, I cheated my way through times tables with a pencil my Grandma gave me with all the answers engraved on them. I'm still paying the price because my math skills are poor!! It was funny, and fun!
Hailey was having trouble sharing, and I told her she needed to go to Time Out. She climbed up on the chair and folded her arms..it was hilarious!
We bought the small, variety cereal boxes, and the girls enjoyed picking out their "special" box.
Saturday afternoon, we got to go snowmobiling. We really had a fun time despite the fact that the snow was low, and bumpy. Hailey was scared at first, but settled in and actually fell asleep!
We decided to leave Saturday after a late lunch, to beat the storm that was forecasted at home. After a long day of snowmobiling, we thought the girls would crash, which Addison did, Crayon still in hand, but Hailey was awake and mostly smiling the whole way home.

Sunbeam Egg Hunt
My darling young women hosted an Easter egg hunt for our darling Sunbeams. When the invitation arrived on our doorstep, and Addison saw her name, A-D-D-I-S-O-N, written on it, and a picture of Easter eggs, she said, "Momma, look it's a Easter party for me, Addison. What does it say?" She was beyond thrilled, and had a fun time with the cute kids in her class. Thanks to the Mia Maid class for making it happen!
