"Berry" Lake

Last weekend we went up to Bear Lake with my Dad's family for a reunion. We had been planning it for almost a year, but a few months before the event, almost everyone decided not to come. It was too bad for them because those of us that were there had a great time! We camped at Rendezous Beach. It was pretty deluxe as far as camping goes..we had electricity, flushing toilets, and warm showers! To top it off, there was a skunk's nest right outside the door of our tent! No one got sprayed..the skunks were so used to people, and fat from their food, they decided to not ruin the good thing they had going for them. It was weird to be so close to a skunk, though..literally, they were 6 feet away from us! We played in the water, chatted with cousins, sat by the fire, and ate raspberry shakes. It was delightful!

Farmington Canyon

On Saturday, we went up Farmington Canyon with some good friends, David, Aubrey, and Dominic Martinez. We haven't seen them in awhile, and it's always a good time when we hang out! It was super windy, and a bit cold, but lots of fun! Trav brought his kite, and it flew pretty well. We ate hot dogs, and smores, got sufficently smokey, and headed home. Good times!

Dominic and Addison had a great time playing together! Dominic is two, and is as cute as can be! He's going to be a big brother in a few months, and will have a new baby brother, Logan.

David helped Travis get his kite flying, and Addi watched it intently.

Big Girl!

I took Addison's picture the other day while she was playing, and I can't believe how big she looks..well, I guess, how big she IS! She grew up over night. Today I put all of the baby stuff, like the highchair, swing, and bouncer in storage..sniff, sniff. I have a toddler, and she's growing fast.

Sweet Sixteen!

Addison has offically made it to 16 months. She's a darling little girl, with a serious 'ADDI'tude! She definitely keeps us entertained, and laughing, but busy, and exhausted too!

This past week, Addison has really started to speak up. She will mimick almost any word I say, but only if she's in the right mood. Her list of words include:

Mom, Daddy, Bite, More, Please, Thank-You, Hi, Bye-Bye, Uh-Oh, Shoes, Binki, Eddie, Grandpa, Mama (Grandma), JoJo, Madi, Ethan, Berta, Football, Turtle, Wow, Cookie, Cracker, Jeep, Addi, Baby, Go, Water, Night-Night... And it's growing daily!

Addison loves books. The books in her room are always scattered everywhere, because she's constantly pulling them off the shelves. She "reads" them to herself when I'm not reading them to her.

Addison climbs on everything. She's on the kitchen table all of the time, and laughs when I tell her "No". She climbs on the couches, chairs, and beds. She can even scale the rails of her crib, and fell out on her head the other day. She's tough though, and didn't even cry. She's always got new scrapes, and bruises, and leaves me wondering how she got them.

She's started biting, and thinks it's hilarious when someone says "ouch".

Addi will let me give her hugs and kisses..and gives them back with a full open mouth! I always whisper in her ear that I love her before I put her down for naps or bed, and she now will say something that sounds like it back to me in a little hushed voice.

She's still a little pill sometimes, but I think I lucked out overall..she's wonderful, and getting bigger everyday! Could you just stop growing, Addi...Please?

Friday Afternoon Fun!

Trav came home from work on Friday and we decided to go for a drive. He's been exploring the hills of Farmington Canyon with my brother-in-law, Troy, and he wanted to show me the cool spots. It was a beautifully, fun way to spend the afternoon with my two favorite people!

What a sweet daddy!

We sure have fun together!
