Randoms From The First Month...

With a new baby in the house, you don't get out much. We have had a crazy month adjusting to our new life with sweet baby Hailey. It has been fun with lots of visitors and silly days at home.

Captain Underpants Addison has struggled with potty training issues since Hailey was born. In an effort to spice things up and get her excited about going in the toilet, we put these undies on her head. Jo was disgusted. It didn't work...any suggestions on potty help would be appreciated!!

At her two week appointment, the Dr. told me to keep checking on Hailey's mouth because she thought she may have thrush. The white didn't go away, so Jo suggested an "old fashioned" remedy called Gentian Violet. She warned that it turns everything purple, including spit up, but cured Katie overnight when she had it as a baby. It was seriously PURPLE!!

The purple mouth residue matches her dress perfectly for her first time at church
Bathing Beauties
Addison, Hailey, and cousin Cambree...cute girls!

Addison loves to play with all of her babies, including Hailey
Addison had fun painting some magnets for the fridge. She made a mess, but that smile made it all worth it!

The underware on the head was a lttle gross. I'm sorry the gentian violet didn't work as well for you as it did for Katie. Beautiful baby girl.

Logan is still "working" on the potty training and I've been too scared to start Harlee because of it - she'll get it, just stay positive and find a reward system that works for her! We are using play money and Logan gets to buy special rewards, like video game time or new puzzles and books. He LOVES this, he still has the occassional accident, but not as badly as it was! If he goes all by himself, he gets $2, if I ask him to go he only gets $1. a #1 accident costs him $3 and a #2 is $4, plus he has to clean things up, which he is not a fan of. He is much older than Addie, but maybe you could tweak it to make something like that work?! Good luck - I feel your pain!! I also had someone reccomend using old fashioned cloth diapers and rubber pants to make things uncomfortable for them. Logan was not a fan of them, but they helped a little.
