Update...

Life has been a bit crazy these past few weeks! I love being a sort-of stay at home mom! I am working for my Dad, and spend about three to three and a half hours there a day. I should be spending more, because there is so much to do, but I really wouldn't trade anything for the time that I can spend with Addison. It's been so much fun to wake up and spend the mornings together in our jammies. We laugh, and play, and sing, read stories, sometimes we cry, and sleep a bit more, but we always have fun together! Addison is a complete joy, and I am so glad she is my sweet little buddy!

Our favorite time of day is when Daddy wakes up! Travis has been working so hard to enable me to stay home with Addison. He works from 6 PM, until 6 AM, comes home and sleeps until about 3 PM. I am so grateful for a husband who is so hard-working, crazy schedule and all! He's wonderful!

We are getting adjusted all of the changes that have gone on in the last month or so, but just as we do, we take on something new, or something changes. I love the quote, "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all!" That pretty much sums it up! I love my little family, and am glad that we have this time in our lives to spend together..well, until next week when Utah football starts..then I will be a widow and Addison will be a fatherless child! Ha!

Hey Good Lookin', What-Cha Got Cookin'?

Today was so fun, and such an accomplishment! I got together with my mother-in-law, and sisters-in-law, and cooked ELEVEN meals for the upcoming month. We all decided that we spend too much money eating out, and the food isn't very healthy. So we made eleven healthy meals for just under $50. WOW! Here's a list of what we made:

A Little Bit CrAbBy...

On Saturday, we went and at at Joe's Crab Shack. It's not at all my favorite place, but Trav, and Keith love it, so we indulge them. It was fun. Trav's parents came, and so did Trav's friend Kyle, his girlfriend Val, and her friend from California.

Trav thought it was funny to make Addison shark bate.Mommy's Girl.
Love Them!

Over-Nighter

We went up to the Uintas yesterday for an over-nighter. We went with my friend Dave and his wife, Aubrey, and their sweet little boy, Dominic. Dave is from Argentina, where Travis served his mission, the same city even, so Dave cooked churipan for Travis. It's basically a sausage sandwich, but with authentic Argentine sausages and this fabulous sauce. Travis was in heaven..it was good!

After dinner we sat around the campfire, under the stars and talked and laughed. It was nice to just relax. Then we roasted marshmallows and drank mate cocido..another Argentine favorite, it's sort of like an herbal tea. It's good with a lot of sugar!

The babies did a great on their first camp out.

We had such a fun time, we didn't want to come home! What a happy girl!

CREEPY, BUT TRUE...

"Left untreated, the bite of a brown recluse can result in tissue decay..."

We are being over-run. My home is full of bugs, bugs of all kinds! Tonight was the final straw. The biggest (possible recluse) spider I have ever seen is currently residing under a Mason Jar, awaiting the early morning arrival of Travis, to prove to him that pest control is a necessary expense. I would post a picture of this horrible creature, however, I will spare you, 1) because my camera is missing, if you see it let me know, and 2) because it is the most spine-shuttering, grotesque thing I have EVER seen (and I lived in Costa Rica for 6 months!!)

Not only do we have spiders that would make grown men weep, we have ants. The ants live in the laundry room and thrive off of Eddie's food. I don't mind them much, 1) because I get a kick out of watching the tiny things heave kernels of Eddie's food, which is three times bigger than they are, over to the hole from which they emerged, only to find that the food is too big to fit..HA! 2) No dog food = No dog, right?

After discovering the eight-legged freak in the basement, I decided I need help, but am concerned about exterminating bugs and having Addison around. Does anyone have any suggestions? Have you used extermination companies in the past, any treatments you can just buy in the store?? Please let me know so that I can sleep at night!
