Weekend Get-Away

This weekend we went down to St. George for a quick get-away. We went with Trav's family. It was fun to spend time with them, especially Adam and Jess, who we don't see very often.

Eating at the Pizza Factory

We went 4-Wheeling while everyone else was bike riding. It was beautiful, and a bit cold, but fun to spend time with our little family.

Before heading home, Jeremy took us to this place over by the 'D' for Dixie. I don't know what it's called, but I call it the crack. It's a crack in between two rocks. It's such a tight squeeze between them, that some people don't fit. I was so worried that I wasn't going to fit, but Kelli was there coaching me, and telling me when to breathe, and we made it through! Travis was sad because he didn't fit, and pouted for a bit in the car. Addison loved the orange sand, and the sunshine!

Although it was quick, we still had a great time!

Swimming Lessons

For Addison's birthday, Trav signed us up for a Parent/Tot swimming class. Addison loves the water, and we have gone swimming a few times as a family, so we thought it would be something she would love...we were wrong! She did have a few moments when she liked it, but mostly, she doesn't like to be told what to do! It was fun, but we'll wait until she's a bit older to sign her up for another!

Peak-a-Boo Pot!

This is one of Addison's favorite things to do at my Dad's house. My sister was trying to keep her entertained while I was not around, and stuck her in the pot. She loved it, and still does!

Blessed...

I knew that church today would be rough. Travis had to be to work at noon, and I was going to be without his help. Thankfully, my sister, Janelle is in our ward, and helps a lot with Miss Addi and her attitude. I had a Laurel class presidency meeting at 12:30 PM, just before church, and once again, no husband = take the babe. Addison doesn't do well sitting, and I knew it would be hard to make her go to a meeting before Sacrament Meeting, but didn't have a choice. To top it all off, Addison refused to nap this morning. I was worried! I kept thinking if we make it through this hour it will be a miracle! I was hoping Addison would abandon her normal tendencies, and curl up and take a nap on my lap. I really needed her to sleep because I had to teach in YW's during the third hour. I was worried! I kept repeating a little prayer in my head that things would go smoothly, and my babe would cooperate. I stocked up on Cheerios, and her favorite veggie crackers, brought extra toys, and her new favorite quiet book because, I was worried!

Addison did fine in the presidency meeting. She sucked on my pen, and crumpled my papers, but was okay. Once we turned the corner, and headed into the Chapel, I was worried! I again repeated the little prayer, as I sat in the pew with my sweet sis. We sang the opening song, and Addison threw a mini fit because I took the Hymn book from her, but we were doing alright. After the opening prayer, I began to feel the worry creep up on me again, when I heard the Bishop say something quite unusual, "Brothers, and Sisters, I just spoke with a representative from Utah Power, and Light. They are here because a transformer broke, and in order to restore it safely, they will have to shut off all the power to this building in 45 minutes from now. We will be cancelling all other meetings in the second and third hour today."

I can't tell you the relief those words brought to my heart. I had been hoping, and praying for a miracle today, and here it was! This little tender mercy today, helped me to realize that I AM BLESSED! My prayers are heard, and answered, sometimes in unconventional ways, but Heavenly Father answers them. He loves me, and He blesses me when I am doing what I should be doing, even when it is hard, and I don't know how I will make it.

I have SO many blessings to count! Most of the time, I am too busy counting my problems, to realize how blessed I truly am. I am grateful for experiences like today, that help me to get back on the right track, and to focus on the things in my life that are good, and to be grateful for the SOURCE from which those blessings come. LIFE IS GOOD!

Easter...

Today was crazy...lots of fun, but crazy! We woke up to the Easter Bunny. He was smart, and knew that Addison would get lots from all the people that love her, and so he didn't bring too much with him. The Easter dress is actually from Grandma Jer..Thanks, Mom!

Addison loved the eggs.

After church we took a few pictures and a little nap before we headed to Grandpa's for brunch.

After we ate Grandpa Marty's yummy food, and were spoiled by the Easter Bunny, we went outside to enjoy the beautiful day. Addison loves to swing, and Ethan loves to pretend he's fishing in Grandpa's stream.

We took a few more cute pictures before we headed home for another nap, to get rested before we headed to Grandma Jer's.

Grandma Jer had an Easter egg hunt for Ethan and Addison. Grandma Jer filled Addi's eggs with star cereal puffs, and yogurt bites. Addison loved that she could eat everything in her eggs. There were also notes that said, "Ask Grandma for your surprise." Ethan was so excited for his surprises! Addison got a bunny, and a book. Thanks for the fun time, and good food, Mom!

Happy Easter, Everyone!

The Hunt!

We had a fun Easter egg hunt, and yummy dinner at Jo Jo's house yesterday. Jo Jo loves to spoil her grandkids! She gave each of them a fun toy, a darling outfit, and a basket to fill, with what felt like a million eggs, that were hidden around her house.

Travis helped Addison look for eggs.

MyKelle and Gage found lots of eggs, and they were nice enough to share some with Addi.

Addison is such a big girl. She was walking everywhere, and with her new teeth, loved to eat the jelly beans!

Thanks for the fun day, Jo Jo! WE LOVE YOU!
