New Toy

When I met Travis, he had a yellow Jeep Wrangler, and he LOVED it! He and I spent lots of time up in the mountains while we were dating, because he like to show-off in his Jeep.

Once we got married, we decided to sell it, and Travis has missed it ever since. Now that they have the new 4-Door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I told Trav that we could look into getting one. Well, in his mind, looking into it, was permission enough..he bought this on Tuesday.

A new car isn't really a big deal to me anymore. Don't get me wrong, I like having a new car, but we have had 6, not counting a motorcycle, in the almost 6 years that we have been together. Travis likes new cars..but he especially likes new toys! This is his new toy. I can't even drive it..it's really his!

I like it because it has 4-doors, and the back seat is roomy enough for the car seat without feeling crammed, it has 4-wheel drive, and because it makes my husband giddy!

Yesterday, after our fun Easter egg hunt at Jo Jo's (pictures to follow in another post), we went wheelin' up by the 'B'. Kelli and Jeremy came along in their 4-Runner. Kelli took all of these pictures for us...Thanks, Boom!

It was a beautiful day, and we were enjoying our nice drive. The snow had gotten deeper, and deeper the more that we countinued to drive up the mountain, but we didn't realize just how deep it was, until we couldn't move any longer.

We were high-centered on a snow bank, and the wheels were just spinnin'. Trav's friend Kyle was there, and he and Jeremy tried to push us out.

That didn't work so, they tried to dig us out, using snow scrapers, and a ceramic tile that was in the back.

That didn't work. We were SO stuck! Luckily, Jeremy had a tow rope in his 4-Runner, and was able to pull us out. His poor truck was working so hard, that it was smoking, and Kelli was worried!

We managed to get ourselves stuck again, but thankfully, we were just able to rock the Jeep enough to get the wheels going again.

Jeremy was the big hero, and I was so glad that he was there. It was fun, frustrating, and really muddy! Next time, let's wait until the snow melts!
