San Diego

Last week our time to get away finally arrived! We headed out Wednesday afternoon and headed out on our roadtrip in our new van. It was actually awesome to travel in the van with the DVD player, and the girls each with their own space away from each other. It was impressive how much we were able to pack, and how easily it all fit! We spent the first night in Vegas to break up the long drive, and then headed to San Diego to spend a night there at my Dad's.

For dinner the first night, we headed to one of our favorite places, Corvette. The atmosphere there is so fun and the shakes and burgers are fantastic!

We woke up the next morning and headed to the beach. It was a little chilly at first, but the water was surprisingly warm, and once the sun creeped out from behind the clouds, we warmed up.

Trav didn't come prepared with a suit, but thankfully, he emptied his pockets this time so that we didn't lose our car keys in the ocean.

After the beach, we headed back to my Dad's, cleaned up and packed up the van to head up to LA, for the football game the next day.
